Down the Rabbit Hole

Shattera walked in the middle of the street. "Grande lane." she snorted. "This is a pile of trash." rats scurried among the sidewalks and alleys, where men lured girls. rundown carts stood at the side, selling rotten food and threadbare cloth. she glanced down at her clothes, she had to get out of here. she was too easily spotted. she darted up onto the side walk, turned down an alley and passed through the wall at the end. she ran a short way down the long alley she had arrived in and shot into a building thorugh a side door. she locked it behind her and looked at the dirty kitchen where she now stood.

shattera glanced behind her and walked silently and slowly to the door. she peeked out of the window, pulling the ugly yellow curtain aside. sighing a sigh of releif she opened the door.

she locked the door, then green locked it. she walked into another room, looking at the familiar grimey walls, the moldy chairs, the cracking cieling.
